Are you looking for professional studio lighting with a softbox? Want your photos to gain vibrant colors and excellent sharpness? Properly chosen light significantly improves the quality of shots. Continuous light lamp is perfect for portraits, fashion, beauty photography, as well as video production. Its use greatly shortens the time spent on post-processing.

Softboxes are a basic element of a photographic studio. They are used to change the properties of light: the size of the luminous surface, intensity and direction of light. They are gaining increasing popularity in video productions. An alternative to kinoflo lamps. Softboxes soften tonal transitions between light and shadow.

FlatLight™ Double 57682 - what can you use it for

  • Main or supplementary light in portraits
  • Supplementary light in nudes, fashion photography
  • Supplementary light in wider frames
  • Children's photography
  • Product photography
  • Film studio, film set (close-ups, interviews)

Softbox

The fixture used is a high-quality softbox suitable for both flash bulbs and continuous light bulbs. The 50x70 cm dome is finished inside with silver material. Light is evenly distributed within the softbox interior and maintains equal power across the entire diffuser surface. The softbox is matte black on the outside, preventing it from reflecting light from other lamps.

The setup and breakdown are exceptionally simple, and the folded softbox takes up little space. The high-quality materials used in the softbox guarantee trouble-free operation for years. Designed and manufactured to ensure safe use with fluorescent bulbs.

Studio Stand

Lightweight, studio-outdoor, three-section lighting stand. Maximum height of 230cm, working height 220cm, convenient section clamps, 16mm studio head with universal 1/4" thread. The stand is designed to work with small and medium lamps as well as lighting sets. It works great in a configuration with flash and continuous light bulbs, softboxes, RedHead halogen lamps. Good workmanship, 12-month warranty.

Its dimensions after folding have been reduced by using a telescopic folding mechanism, thus not limiting the wide range of work (ranging from 78 to 220 cm, adjustable smoothly at any height) and universality of applications. Leg spread (from foot to foot) is 75cm.

Photo Bulb (65W/5500K)

The presented fluorescent lamp generates light with a color ideal for photographic applications - it does not introduce color distortions. Thanks to the natural rendering of colors, the bulb works perfectly among photographers working under constant lighting conditions. The use of continuous lighting allows you to model light faster and better predict the final effect obtained in photos. Low power consumption enables the use of this bulb both in open fixtures and partially closed ones (softboxes, diffusers, octies). The luminous power of the 65W bulb corresponds to a 325W halogen bulb.

Color rendering coefficient Ra>91.

Can I use a softbox for filming?

Absolutely. Recently, we have been observing more and more often the penetration of applications reserved for photography into the world of film. The fixture of continuous light SOFTBOX 50x70cm constitutes an excellent alternative to budget versions of panel lamps (so-called kinoflo). The cost of such a solution is significantly lower, while the achieved effect remains the same.

What's the difference between an octagonal softbox and a rectangular one?

The difference that can be easily noticed is the shape of reflections on reflective surfaces. This is especially noticeable in portrait and fashion photography - the octagonal shape, similar to circular, mimics solar reflections. Octagonal softboxes also feature better light distribution (especially when lighting from the front).

What should you remember?

  1. Softboxes "work" best at short distances. Place them as close as possible to the illuminated people or objects, right on the edge of the frame.
  2. The larger the softbox diameter, the softer the tonal transition between light and shadow.
  3. If you have to shine from a long distance - remove the diffusive fabric. You will then get even more light.

CineGEN® — studio equipment designed by practitioners

CineGEN® is a Polish studio equipment brand we created in 2011 in Janki near Warsaw. We don't have 35 years of tradition or offices on two continents — what we do have is around 40,000 orders with CineGEN® products fulfilled every year and 15 years of working with light, which taught us what actually works in a studio.

The brand was born for a simple reason: selling other people's equipment, we too often had to explain flaws we had no control over. We preferred taking responsibility to making excuses — so we started building our own.

How we work

Specifications and part of the designs are created in Poland; manufacturing takes place in China, under our supervision. We say this openly, because that's how studio equipment is made all over the world today. The difference lies in who sets the requirements and who answers for the result: every batch arrives at our warehouse in Janki, where we inspect it, and before a product enters our catalogue, we work with it ourselves — on packshots, portraits and video shoots.

Our product descriptions state real parameters and real limitations. A 200 PLN lamp won't replace a 2,000 PLN kit — and we won't pretend otherwise.

What you'll find under the CineGEN® brand

Continuous lighting (FlatLight™, Lumifi™, ReLed™, Ensö™ panels with CRI >95), Ignitix™ photographic bulbs, softboxes and light modifiers, lighting, photo and video stands and tripods (including the Jupiter™ series), and home studio kits.

What we stand behind

CineGEN® is a trademark protected at the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland (application Z.574925, rights held by Digishots Sp. z o.o.).
Warranty service and spare parts are handled at our facility in Janki — no shipping your gear "back to the manufacturer".
You can see the equipment in person at our location in Janki (ul. Poniatowskiego 17), and you'll find tests and tutorials on the digishots.pl blog and the CineGEN YouTube channel.

CineGEN® is a proprietary brand of Digishots Sp. z o.o., ul. Poniatowskiego 17, 05-090 Janki, Poland, KRS 0001135340.
