The FlatLight™ Double Octa offers a professional studio lighting solution with softboxes, enhancing photo quality with vibrant colors and sharp focus. This continuous light lamp is ideal for portraits, fashion, beauty shots, and video production, significantly reducing post-processing time.
Are you looking for professional studio lighting with a softbox? Want your photos to gain vibrant colors and excellent sharpness? Properly chosen lighting significantly improves the quality of shots. Continuous light lamp is perfect for portraits, fashion, beauty photography, as well as video production. Its use greatly shortens the time spent on post-processing. The Double continuous light lamp set with octagonal softboxes is an excellent source of pleasant intensity soft light. Introducing the FlatLight™ Double set significantly improves camera (camera, phone) performance parameters and image quality.

Softboxes are a basic element of a photographic studio. They are used to modify the properties of light: the size of the luminous surface, intensity and direction of light. They are gaining increasing popularity in video productions. An alternative to expensive, cumbersome Kinoflo lamps. The softbox's task is to soften the light, which in turn reduces or eliminates shadows.
FlatLight™ Double lamps are an excellent source of light with a very wide range of applications. The large surface area of the modifiers guarantees a very soft distribution of light. Assembly and use of the lamps is incredibly simple, and the price - affordable for everyone. Using these lamps provides immediate, noticeable improvement in shot quality.
Softboxes (2 pcs.)
The softbox dome is an octagon (octa) with a diameter of 90 cm - the inside is lined with embossed, silver material: light is evenly distributed already inside the softbox, thanks to which on the entire surface of the front diffuser it maintains identical strength without weakening intensity as you move away from the center towards the edges of the diffuser. The outside of the softbox is matte black, so it does not reflect light from other lamps. It has a standard mounting for a lighting stand.
Folding and unfolding is exceptionally simple, and when folded, the softbox takes up little space. The high quality materials used to make the softbox guarantee trouble-free operation for years. Designed and made in a way that ensures safe work with fluorescent bulbs. The fixture used is a high-quality, functional softbox suitable for both flashbulbs and continuous light bulbs with an E27 thread.

Lighting stands (2 pcs.)
Lightweight, studio and outdoor three-section lighting stand. Maximum height 200cm, working height 190 cm, convenient section clamps, 16mm studio head with universal 1/4" thread. The stand is designed for use with small and medium lamps as well as lighting sets. It works great in a configuration with flash and continuous light lamps, softboxes, RedHead type halogen lamps.

Photographic bulbs (2 pcs.)
The PureLight series fluorescent lamp generates light with a color ideal for photographic applications - it does not introduce color distortions. Thanks to the natural rendering of colors, the bulb works well among photographers working under constant lighting conditions. Using continuous lighting allows you to model light faster and better predict the final effect obtained in photos. Low power consumption enables the use of this bulb both in open fixtures and partially closed (softboxes, diffusers, octas). The luminous power of the 85W bulb corresponds to a 400W halogen lamp. Color rendering index Ra > 91.

Can I use softboxes for filming?
Absolutely. Recently, we have been observing more and more often the penetration of applications reserved for photography into the world of film. The SOFTBOX OCTA 90cm continuous light fixture is an excellent alternative to budget versions of panel lamps (so-called Kinoflo). The cost of such a solution is significantly lower while achieving the same effect.
What's the difference between octagonal and rectangular softboxes?
The easiest difference to notice is the shape of reflections on reflective surfaces. This is especially noticeable in portrait and fashion photography - the circular-like shape of the octagon mimics solar reflections. Octagonal softboxes also have a better light distribution (especially when lighting from the front).
What should you remember?
- Softboxes work best at short distances. Place them as close to the illuminated people or objects, right on the edge of the frame.
- The larger the softbox diameter, the softer the tonal transition between light and shadow.
- If you have to shine from a long distance - remove the diffusive fabric. You will then get even more light.

CineGEN® — studio equipment designed by practitioners
CineGEN® is a Polish studio equipment brand we created in 2011 in Janki near Warsaw. We don't have 35 years of tradition or offices on two continents — what we do have is around 40,000 orders with CineGEN® products fulfilled every year and 15 years of working with light, which taught us what actually works in a studio.
The brand was born for a simple reason: selling other people's equipment, we too often had to explain flaws we had no control over. We preferred taking responsibility to making excuses — so we started building our own.
How we work
Specifications and part of the designs are created in Poland; manufacturing takes place in China, under our supervision. We say this openly, because that's how studio equipment is made all over the world today. The difference lies in who sets the requirements and who answers for the result: every batch arrives at our warehouse in Janki, where we inspect it, and before a product enters our catalogue, we work with it ourselves — on packshots, portraits and video shoots.
Our product descriptions state real parameters and real limitations. A 200 PLN lamp won't replace a 2,000 PLN kit — and we won't pretend otherwise.
What you'll find under the CineGEN® brand
Continuous lighting (FlatLight™, Lumifi™, ReLed™, Ensö™ panels with CRI >95), Ignitix™ photographic bulbs, softboxes and light modifiers, lighting, photo and video stands and tripods (including the Jupiter™ series), and home studio kits.
What we stand behind
CineGEN® is a trademark protected at the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland (application Z.574925, rights held by Digishots Sp. z o.o.).
Warranty service and spare parts are handled at our facility in Janki — no shipping your gear "back to the manufacturer".
You can see the equipment in person at our location in Janki (ul. Poniatowskiego 17), and you'll find tests and tutorials on the digishots.pl blog and the CineGEN YouTube channel.
