How to Assemble the SOFTBOX Lamp

  1. Remove the softbox from its cover, the rods for stretching the softbox, and the diffusion fabric. Set aside the diffusion fabric.
  2. From the box marked CGLX4, remove the lighting fixture. On the outer edge of the fixture (black plastic) there are eight holes.
  3. Insert the glass fiber rods into the openings in the lighting fixture. It's crucial to insert the thicker end of the rods into the fixture. They should go in with a little resistance.
  4. Lay the softbox fabric on the floor so that the black material touches the floor and the silver side faces upward. Leave the Velcro straps unfastened.
  5. Place the lighting fixture on the silver surface of the softbox. Insert the thinner ends of the rods into the pockets sewn into the corners of the softbox fabric.
  6. As you insert more rods, the softbox fabric will begin to stretch over the bending rods. It may be necessary to use a little force, especially with octagonal softboxes.
  7. After assembling the softbox fabric, set up the lighting tripod and attach the fixture to it. Tighten the butterfly screws and fasten the Velcro straps on the back of the fabric.
  8. Secure the bulbs in the fixture.
  9. Put on the diffusion fabric by fastening it with the Velcro straps attached to the softbox fabric.

CineGEN® — studio equipment designed by practitioners

CineGEN® is a Polish studio equipment brand we created in 2011 in Janki near Warsaw. We don't have 35 years of tradition or offices on two continents — what we do have is around 40,000 orders with CineGEN® products fulfilled every year and 15 years of working with light, which taught us what actually works in a studio.

The brand was born for a simple reason: selling other people's equipment, we too often had to explain flaws we had no control over. We preferred taking responsibility to making excuses — so we started building our own.

How we work

Specifications and part of the designs are created in Poland; manufacturing takes place in China, under our supervision. We say this openly, because that's how studio equipment is made all over the world today. The difference lies in who sets the requirements and who answers for the result: every batch arrives at our warehouse in Janki, where we inspect it, and before a product enters our catalogue, we work with it ourselves — on packshots, portraits and video shoots.

Our product descriptions state real parameters and real limitations. A 200 PLN lamp won't replace a 2,000 PLN kit — and we won't pretend otherwise.

What you'll find under the CineGEN® brand

Continuous lighting (FlatLight™, Lumifi™, ReLed™, Ensö™ panels with CRI >95), Ignitix™ photographic bulbs, softboxes and light modifiers, lighting, photo and video stands and tripods (including the Jupiter™ series), and home studio kits.

What we stand behind

CineGEN® is a trademark protected at the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland (application Z.574925, rights held by Digishots Sp. z o.o.).
Warranty service and spare parts are handled at our facility in Janki — no shipping your gear "back to the manufacturer".
You can see the equipment in person at our location in Janki (ul. Poniatowskiego 17), and you'll find tests and tutorials on the digishots.pl blog and the CineGEN YouTube channel.

CineGEN® is a proprietary brand of Digishots Sp. z o.o., ul. Poniatowskiego 17, 05-090 Janki, Poland, KRS 0001135340.
